When we were brought in to work with LIM, we found the a site which was the result of years of patchwork and misguided development. It was basically a mess of dead ends, confusing design, and content buried and lost. The client requested a brand new start, a full overhaul, a design that would better work with their more recent identity materials and a structure that would allow their users easier access to vital information. Their web site is one of their most visible marketing pieces, so it needed to be clear, captivating and to the point.
We began by first working with the client to perform a full re-design of the sites Information Architecture, one that would make the site more intuitive, accessible, and usable. We wanted to create a pathway that would allow the particular visiting audience quick and easy access to content that mattered to them. We developed Site Architecture composites, with schematics to show the outlined structural walk-through.
Once we had designed a bullet-proof foundation, we went to work to create a dynamic, enticing interface, that would draw visitors in, yet allow for an immediate step-off point to get to the information they were looking for.
We continued by developing Google Adword programs to provide specific targeted online marketing campaigns to help promote key programs, such as the Graduate and summer sessions for high school students.
The conclusion was a site that was as aesthetically pleasing as it is functional, complete with drop-down menus, design consistency, and oodles of easily accessible, relevant content.
"We had high hopes for the new LIM web site and Brigham Pendleton Design exceeded them all. We would get compliments every day from parents, students and industry executives about how great the site looked and how easy it was to navigate."
